TRON 70mm UK screening - anybody going?

on Thursday, September, 30, 2004 12:46 PM
As posted by Dave, apparently there's a rare 70mm screening of TRON at the City Screen cinema, York (England) on November 6.

I can't plan that far ahead, but I sure will try to make it there. I can't find any info about the film on the site, but I'll email them for details (including how to get there from the train station), and update the thread here in a few days' time.

The cinema/location looks real nice too!

Is anybody else thinking of going?

OK, here we go:

TRON is indeed showing on Saturday 6th Nov, at 1.30pm. It's part of their '70mm' weekend.

On Saturday they're showing TRON (1.30pm), The Right Stuff (3.30pm), and a so far unconfirmed sci-fi film (around 7pm).

A single adult ticket for TRON is £6.50 - a day ticket, for all 3 films, is £15.

The cinema is right in the center of York, at 13-17 Coney Street, in the main shopping area (Selfridges is on it). The cinema is apparently opposite a Starbucks.

They reckon it's a 10-15min walk from the train station - no public transport worth taking for that distance.

Ouch. Whereabout are you? I'm in Nottingham, and a Super Advance Return is still a hefty £24. I might make a day of it though.

You can check out coach fares here. I could get a £15ish day return, but the travel times are useless (around 4hours each way!) ...

BTW, this is a UK site that promotes 70mm screenings (the York screenings are listed there too).abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

I saw a £49 ticket from Fleet ('Apex' something) - still expensive.

I'm going to wait to see if they release any of the 7 day advance singles - it would work out £11 cheaper for me.

As much as I'd like to go, it's to far away from Essex for me to go. If the screening was in London I would consider going. So I'm not going, and I've already seen the 70mm print 3 times this year at the El Capitan.order abortion pill abortion pill buy online where to buy abortion pill
