Apologies in advance for this but i am completely new to networking and playing over a LAN and need a bit of help. I have two pc networked together, to play tron do both pc's have to a have a copy of the game disk in the machine to enable play?

You actually should buy two copies of the game to play on two PC's. That said, download and install http://www.boxhat.com/tronforum/misc/progs/tron-update_v1x042ceng.exe to update your game.
