Hi to the Tronsector community, this is 'Santaduck' from the website Macologist. One of the things we do is convert windows game custom content (such as from exe installers) to manual .zip installs for Mac and Linux users.

There have been some requests for custom maps, and from reading the downloads page, I am guessing that I want the 1042 nonXP unofficial update. Therefore I download tron-update_v1x042ceng.exe.

I do not have Tron on either my mac or pc. I am trying to run the 1042 installer to try to extract the files, but of course it's telling me I don't have Tron 2.0 installed.

Question:
Could someone tell me what the default folder structure of Tron2 is? It's possible that if I create empty folders, the installer will work. For example I tried variations on c:/tron2 to no avail.

If that does not work, I might ask for a Tron player to help in making a manual zip. This would be a great benefit to the newer mac OS X side of the Tron gaming community.

btw sorry for posting into General, I thought the entire forum was for the games, but realized my error afterwards. Great to see a wonderful community for a film that was a lot of fond memories attached to it. I remember thinking, wouldn't it be crazy if video games really had graphics this good! Then it was back to being jealous of my neighbor's Atari 2600 and ET.

[wax mode on] I remember my first video arcade, probably the first one in the world: the Atari employee's lounge in San Jose, it had 5 consoles and they were all on freeplay. As a kid, I couldn't believe there were so many in one room. Then a few years later the pilot Chuck E. Cheese's opened up in San Jose and of course there were more than a hundred games, but I still rank that Atari lounge as my favorite. Maybe I'll go look for some vector game emulators and some Star Castle.
