Anyone see Saddom on TV today?

on Thursday, July, 01, 2004 4:24 PM

Here is that part where he said “I did not have sexual relations with THAT woman…”

I wonder if he knows what he’s on trial for.

LOL!!!

Hopefully the Iraqi court will be able to get the trial over and done with and punish Saddam harshly. I keep laughing at those that wanted the U.N.'s International Criminal Court to try him. They have been totally unable to do anything productive in trying Milosevic, all they would do is foul up Saddam's tribunal. I hear Saddam is trying to get the cameras out of the courtroom too.

Saddam INsane? Yeah. I saw a bit of it. My opinion on this thing is a bit over rated. Surely, the fall of an EVIL dictator is a good thing and it is equally good when justice is served. But we don't need to be bashed over the headers with every single thing Iraq does. Everytime I see something on it, I quickly change the channel. Yes, people suffering untold horrors is absolutly TERRIBLE. But we neglect to see that people are not only suffering in Iraq but in Africa as well. I believe I heard some statistics on this, I'm not sure if these are totally acurate but I can give you an estimate. Africa will need around 6 billion dollars by 2005, but it has only recieved 3 billion. The wars in Iraq will cost 150 billion dollars. Now if I run by that statistic again, I'll edit this. But Africa is not the only one suffering. There's Korea, China, Bangladesh, and so forth but we should also not fail to see our own contries problems. An example I'm familiar with is in Canada. The native population is in sever poverty and their standard of living is not even comparable to that of the rest of Canada. Now tell me, is that not a problem?

I get really bothered about things like this to the point where I must say something. I know some of you here may not totally agree with me and for that, I'm alright. The world is filled with a lot of people, not everyone is going to like me for what I say or do. I acept that. So if you don't like what I said, that's completly okay. I'm peace loving mostly, I'm not going to fight someone over this.

End of Line.

Well I see the picture I linked to isn't the same picture any more. Oh well, I started this thread just because seeing Saddom wave his finger like that reminded me of Cinton's speech. I wasn't really trying to start a serious political discussion. By the way... I call him So-Damn-Insane all the time myself.

This is where I step in...............

Please keep in mind (which you all have so far) not to make this forum political.

I agree with most of you and have learned a tid bit, but I'm so afraid that if we were to discuss our political views, it is possible that it could destory this forum.

I am very very strong in my views but I have never brodcasted them here because I feel we are WAY beyond this.

No one (so far that I have read) has did this. Good....

But please keep this in mind. I really would hate to see everyone trash each other with non-TRON related issues...

Please keep this in mind...
