Hi,

Yes, I only got a final version number of 8.8.1 the first time I played.

I may try upgrading differently next time.

The challenge is of course to complete the game without derezzing once.

Not since the days of Turrican 2 on the Amiga have I completed a game without dying at all - plenty of practice you see.

Just finished it last night. It was a great game, but I wish it were longer. TRON 3.0 anyone?

Now I just have to wait for the GBA TRON game to come out... Can't wait!

Hi,

I have started playing light cycles online.

I don't have all the maps though and I get kicked out regularly because of that. I have tried the patchgonebad2 website, but the registration system is ropey so I still can't get maps.

Too bad the ending is a disappointment, I mean it doesn't actually end the game properly, and Monolith is assuming Tron 2.0 is gonna be good enough or sell enough to merit a Tron 2.1/3.0?

Gamemakers should NEVER make open ended games, just end it properly but in a way thats easy to make sequels.order abortion pill http://unclejohnsprojects.com/template/default.aspx?morning-after-pill-price where to buy abortion pill

Vpier,

We all get it. You hate the ending.

Point made.

Do we need another 10 messages harping about it?

Congrats Bravepants, Glad you had a good time with the game. I had to play through several times before I had 'all' the build points.

Cliffhanger endings arent that bad of thing, hl had a cliffhanger ending, infact most games (and movies) have some sort of unresolved issue(s) at the end. I belive its better that way, I like all the speculation and debate its brought to the forums. To me it provides a more involving experiance.

Movies are cheaper and less involved than games.

After days of playing, one should get a satisfying ending, besides, I know a few games that have open endings and guess what............there was NEVER a second game to close it, so in short......the story will never end, and you have alot of disgrunteled customers who'd want their money back.

I think we'll all make an exception with Tron 2.0

I just hope they come out with another game to wrap it up, or we'll just have a bunch of pissed off fans.

First off, I don't disagree with you on the ending. I would have liked something more satisfying as well. It is what it is, and we have to live with it. I love it for what it is, more TRON.

What I don't enjoy is listening to people who "speak for the masses". While I know others share your opinion, I don't think most of them come near the level of enmity you like to share on the subject.

You made your point, some of us agree to varying levels with your point. It's time to step down off the soapbox and move on with your life. Everything is not going to go as you would like it to go, and this is one of those cases. Continuing to complain and letting it eat at you is only hurting you.

TRON 2.0 for Windows and Mac is dead. Long live TRON in whatever incarnations come next.on line abortion pill misoprostol dose abortion medical abortion pill onlineabortion pills online http://www.kvicksundscupen.se/template/default.aspx?abortion-questions cytotec abortion

Ok, since the topic of "disappointing ending of TRON 2.0" has been brought up, I think I'll chime in.

The ending took me by surprise - I was caught off guard as I didn't know I was fighting the final boss, even though I was in the data stream back out of the digital world. This could be perhaps because I didn't want the game to end though.

The actual ending. Well, I was a little disappointed in the ending myself. I'm not exactly sure how I would have imagined a "perfect" ending (given the set up and plot of the game in general), but this ending did leave me feeling a little blah about it.

But you know what I did when it was over? That same day, I DIGITIZED myself BACK in to TRON 2.0's WONDERFUL and IMMERSFUL TRON universe and did it ALL over again!

There were really a lot of points that disappointed me about the game. I can (and might in another thread sometime) spell out exactly the points I didn't like about the game (mostly plot related). But I'd have to say that the game as a whole was one of the BEST gaming experiences I've had. The game as a whole was a FANTASTIC ride for me!

So the ending was a little blah. So the game was not perfect. BUT the game WAS INDEED well worth the price I paid for it... hell, I wouldn't have minded paying the original $50.00 (got mine for $20) - it STILL would have been well worth it to me!

I can say this - like the movie TRON, I was left wondering "why" - why did the game fail like the movie did? The film ROCKED! And though the game was a little different, it was still VERY TRON, and VERY well done, and VERY fun, and VERY addicting! And it was doomed to the same fate as the film - WAAAAAAY under appreciated.

Ok, I think I'm just rambling now.

I didn't like the ending all that much either. BUT, the game as a whole is an experience that sits VERY high on my list of entertainment value and I'd recommend it to anyone with high praise.

Now VPier - honesty time - did you NOT enjoy the game as a whole? Were you NOT glued to the experience as were so many of us? Did the ending really spoil the WHOLE experience? Think about it. I bet you can't say no (I mean HONESTLY) to any of those questions

Hey - the game is what it is. I've been through the adventure twice so far, and play on-line light cycles regularly (and seem to be addicted to that).

Not great ending, but GREAT game! I tip my circuitry helmet to ALL involved in this FINE and EXCITING game!

Oh - one more thing to ponder - the game is about the adventure, right? Not just the conclusion

The ending was a bit disappointing, but it left the door open for another game.

There are other things that bothered me about , in fact a made a whole list of them. LOL. But it doesn't matter, like that old cliched saying goes: "the whole is greater than the sum of its parts".

The overall experience in was mesmerizing. It delivered what was promised, an immersive 3-D world based on the original .

Bring on the sequels, both game and movie . . . even if it may take a while. Sigh.

Personally I consider the ending a new beginning. Maybe there will be a sequel to TRON 2.0 or no but the possibility remains for TRON to be an icon for a new generation as well as a cult icon of old. I'll end on this note. I am no where near as upset with the end of TRON 2.0 as I am with the end of ONI by Bungie. That was a total buzzkill to a real timesuck of a game and I will be replaying TRON 2.O again once I finish some other games.

The game itself is quite pleasing, it as nice to finally be in the world of Tron, and enjoy it just like the movie, instead of the Tron games of old which were pixalated and doesn't even barely give us that feeling.

Yeah, I enjoyed the game, I just started getting sad when I got to the FCON server levels cuz I knew this was going to be the end of the game and watch a unfulfilling ending.

Anyway, I'll get over the ending when I see a Tron 3.0 game come out. My anger stems from too many good tv shows that end/get cancelled that have had crappy endings, or cliffhanger endings leaving you to wonder. Till 20 years later when someone decides to do a sequel or close the book so to speak.

Anywho.........I guess I'll go play Doom 3 in the meantime, I just finished replaying Tron 2.0 on the hardest setting so I'm not ready to go re-explore Tron 2.0 right now.

Anywho.....enjoy your weekend folks.

Hi,

All in all I was very happy with Tron 2.0.

It's the ONLY game I have finished on my PC so far! And I've been PC gaming since 1996. So in my own personal universe that's a testament to its playability and interest level for me anyway.

If you want strange (bad?) endings, and I was reminded of this the other night, try the TV series "The Prisoner" for size!

What the f*** was that all about?!?

LOL

I loved Tron 2.0! Maybe a little short for my tastes, and I didn't like how the flow seemed choppy because of the mission load screens, etc... but all in all, I was very happy to see this game after 20 long years of waiting.abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

I enjoyed the ending as it left the door open for a sequel or expansion, plus at the time 88MPH studios was going to do a comic series until they pulled the plug for reasons I never did learn but will speculate that it was about $$$.

The Game is well worth playing repeatedly and exploring the levels. Plus the fun of multiplayer and unlocking all the hidden light cycles.

The only questions left from the ending are:

1. WHO is the Ceo of FCON? Some say its a backup of the MCP, some day its Dillinger working behind the scenes. (i bet its Dillinger.)

2. Will Encom still be bought up and absorbed by FCON?

3. Where did Flynn go when he left Encom? For that matter why'd he leave the company? Bored with being in charge?

4. And of course the ever important question: WHERE is the original Tron?
