I was just sort of surprised someone who's been here as long as you have didn't know, that's all.
The book is available in several flavors. US, UK, German, French and Hebrew. There may be others. It's also out in hard and soft cover editions.

Nah, your too far behind right now, once you get 50-100 behind, then I post alot. I'm just on the computer at least 10 hours a day, and this is where I spend most of my time.
And I honestly had no clue there was a Tron book.

If you look at the bck of the TRON 20th ann. case, under the credits it says "read the Ballentine book" It doesn't mention that the book has been out of print since 82. I thought that they might have reissued it.

I have the "Tron" 1982 paperback and the "Art of Tron" book. I wish they'd come out with newer versions of both so I don't have to ruin these classics by reading them. Another "Art of Tron" book with more info, hardcover, nicely done would be particulary awesome.
There's a book called "The Neverending Story" where different font colors were used in the book to differentiate the parts of the story that are in the real world versus the parts that are in Fantasia. A similar approach to the Tron novel would be kinda cool. Differentiate the real world versus the computer world. Not that there's a lot of going back & forth between the two like in "The Neverending Story," but just for the uniqueness of it. tron - the pop up book
both are great, the pop up book is wicked especially when the mcp blows up. Add your own sound effects!!

I have the Art of Tron book also. Got it as a birthday present a few years back. I have my Tron book and record from Disney.
It really is cool! It features most of Wendy Carlos's score and has sound effects from the film.
