Sci-Fi films that should have special edition DVDs

on Monday, March, 01, 2004 12:32 PM
Aside from the coming August 3 release of The Black Hole which I assume (and we've all seen that The Odd Couple episode, right?) is going to be a special edition, what other Sci-Fi movies do you feel should be given the deluxe treatment?

My first vote must go to Forbidden Planet. In my opinion this is a (if not the) seminal Sci-Fi movie, and it really doesn't get much better. I understand that there was a Laser Disc version produced that had a ton of extras, including -- I'm quoting from an Amazon.com review of the current DVD -- "deleted/expanded scenes, scripting and an impressive photo gallery".

This amazing movie needs the deluxe DVD treatment now!abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion

The classic episode in which Felix explains that if you aren't careful when you assume, you can make an "ass" out of "u" and "me"!

DUNE is a good candidate.

MutoidMan WroteUNE is a good candidate.

That is a good candidate, however I don't think we'd see the extended DUNE people have seen on TV (The one with the 45 min prologue explaining the houses and history with the oil paintings) because director David Lynch doesn't 'recognize' that version which might make it hard to get that version on disc. (I like that version, BTW)

DUNE is one of those movies that if I come across it on TV I have to watch it
