So I was looking thru some user made maps for my first fav first person shooter Nerf Arena Blast, and someone made a level with another floor above it, with the characters upside down actually INTERACTING WITH THE FLOOR! THEY COULD FRAG ANYONE ON THE ACTUAL FLOOR, AND ANYONE COULD FRAG SOMEONE ON THE CEILING!!!
anyway is that an awesome idea for disc arena or what.!!
(p.s. anyone know how to make something like that let me know, I'd like to make 'em sideways too :>)where to buy abortion pill http://blog.bitimpulse.com/template/default.aspx?abortion-types buy abortion pill online

What map is that? I know that the Unreal engine (which Nerf Arena Blast uses) allows different parts of the map to have different gravity values, but I have never heard of a map having reversed gravity.

I don't know if that will work for disc maps or not, but it won't for Light Cycle maps.
I tried to make a Mirror image map once (so the players on the grid would see the same objects above them), but it won't let you put power ups up there . In the end, even though the mirror landscape worked, it didn't seem realistic enough, not being able to see the power ups, LCs, etc... above while you played. Don't you wish your corruption was hot like me? |

Ah, Tmon's Nerf site is still around. I will have to reinstall Nerf Arena to check this out.
The direct download link to that map is http://www.whitestonetech.org/tmon/PM-Ciguatera.zip

Exactly how did you make the mirror/reflection? Technically you should have been able to reflect the models using a camera instead of environment mapping, but given how large lightcycle maps are, the framerate would probably be horrible.

Upon inspection of this Nerf Arena map I see that this effect was not achieved through varying or reversed gravity. It was done by using "warp zones." I don't know of a similar technique which applies to Jupiter engine games like Tron though.
For more on "warp zones" in Unreal engine games, checkout http://www.unrealops.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=Reviews&file=index&req=showcontent&id=25 .
