Greetings, Programs!
Long time, no seek.
I'm wondering, since I still can't afford a new computer that can handle Tron 2.0, if there's a soundtrack available for the game already released or planned for the future? I'm dying to hear more music from the game and am not one to go the route of pirating music. I'd be super happy to purchase a full soundtrack when/if it's released. Can anyone provide an official answer? Sorry if it's been answered already. Thanks.

Well, I can see I'm not the only disappointed one here. It wouldn't be too difficult for Disney-Interactive or anyone else for that matter to host a site with individual MP3s for sale. Perhaps it's a matter of supply and demand that they don't bother with it. I don't know.
msblast, as tempting as elchi's offer sounds, David's already mentioned in another thread that legal action would be taken against anyone who hosts music files from the game for obvious legal and ethical reasons.

More specifically, what does it say that someone would post that on a site actively monitored by Disney personnel? If I see someone infringing on our rights, I have no choice but to report it. Don't make me the bad guy, just don't do it.

Just as a note, for anyone that doesn't know, if you use winrez you can get MOST of the music from the game to listen to. As long as you don't try to sell / post it anywhere, you're not really hurting anyone.

- download the Monolith tools (Monolith's FTP)
- extract Tron's sound resource with lithrez (lithrez x sound.rez)
- wait until extraction is complete 
- go to the extracted MUSIC\ dir and delete all .sgt, .txt and /LOW/*.* files
- convert the ADPCMs that are left to a burnable format
- optionally sort and combine them
- burn to CDR...

Funny that you should mention that. I did all of that yesterday and now have my own audio CD with custom labeled Tron 2.0 art on the disc. It's wonderful to have such great quality sound coming from the wav files. I love video game music, and TRON 2.0's soundtrack is no exception. What format are the audio files going to be in if I use lithrez to extract them? How do you convert them to a burnable format?

You want to save them as wav files and make sure they are at 44100 Hz, 16-Bit CD quality when they come out of lithrez.

The Recording Industry Association of America shouldn't care about people extracting video game music and putting it on a cd to listen to.

Yeah, we're talking about a game I already own and me making a CD so I can listen to it in the house or car. It's not something I am going to post on my web site for people to download.
