You know how pseudo code gets written to the screen every once in a while in the single player game? I noticed that right before the jumping puzzle in the "Main Power Pipeline" level the following code pops up:
Function PathRouting
(jump = true : ?!?fun)
jump = ?fun ;
yes ;
end;
IMHO this function should return "no" instead of "yes". Based on the appearance of this code snippet I'm willing to guess that at least one other person at Monolith or Buena Vista shares my view (I must have died here over 25 times!).

I don't care HOW many times they TELL me jumping puzzles are fun... They ain't.
If it weren't for the fact that most of the really tedious jumping puzzles are supposed to be in older systems (hence, the jumpers are more "retro" games, and as such function as a sort of homage to classic gaming) I would have been really annoyed. As it is, so much of Tron is self-referential to the games that came before it, it becomes something post-modern and quite clever.

I'd rather a scene where you have to go through an old rom code and you end up 3d running and jumping barrels ala Donkey Kong or something. At least the jump puzzle could have had a more arcade homage environment to give it more meaning.

Might run afoul of copyright and trademark issues with that idea, though. I think they did a pretty good job capturing the STYLE and FEELING of the old games while still making them uniquely Tron the way they did, though.abortion pills online abortion pill online purchase cytotec abortion
