RE: Futurama's jab at this movie: Can someone explain?

i just saw that episode on Netflix a couple weeks ago. I just rolled my eyes at that dumb, uneccessary "joke". It's the first thing in Futurama that I ever disliked and i really like Futurama. But that dumb comment from the characters was uncalled for. Why not make that joke about Twilight or the live action Smurfs movie, which was actually terrible (IMO at least)
