Electro-Luminescent Wire

on Tuesday, March, 25, 2003 10:52 AM
I just finished my first round of painting on my Tron Hockey Helmet, and am almost ready to add the glow.

About a year ago, someone on eBay was selling thin strands of 'Glow Wire' that could be hooked to battery packs that ranged from AAA, to 9V, to 12V. The wire came in all different colors, but the Yellow, Red, and Blue were particularly 'Tron-like'.

I've seen the kits that are used to light up Cars, but this stuff was much smaller and you could buy it by the foot.

I haven't been able to locate the stuff, does anyone know what I'm talking about and where I can buy it online ?

Thanks.

Lot's of guys are building Tron-style joysticks for their mame cabinets and use this stuff to light the inside of the clear-blue handle.
